Most council estates in Islington have estate parking restrictions displayed on signs at vehicle entrances and within the grounds. The estate parking restrictions are enforced by Wing Security, who run the estate parking patrol contract on behalf of Islington Council. The company is an experienced and specialist housing parking contractor, who also work with various other London boroughs and housing associations.

The public telephone number on the estate parking warning notices is 0870 240 4139. This number is diverted to Wing Securities telephone reception centre. This number can be used to confidentially report unauthorised and illegally parked vehicles directly to Wing Security.

Wing Security also use the number 0870 444 3838 for de-clamping and vehicle release enquiries. This number is printed on their clamps and these calls also go through to their telephone reception centre.

De-clamping release fees can be paid by telephone, on the estate grounds or at another location as agreed by the vehicle owner. Release fees for impounded vehicles can be paid by telephone or at the contractor's vehicle pound. Wheel - clamps will be released on the estate grounds and impounded vehicles will be released from the vehicle pound, once payment has been received. Fees consist of £75 for de-clamping, £150 for release of an impounded vehicle and £20 storage per day.

On some estates a Fixed Penalty Notice may be issued, if a vehicle is displaying a disability parking blue badge but is not parked in a designated parking position. Further details are given on signs clearly displayed on estates where fixed penalty notices are issued. The fixed penalty notice amount is £100, reducing to £50 if paid promptly.

Wing Security do not clamp or remove untaxed and abandoned vehicles. These are dealt with by other contractors through the terms of the Refuse Disposal (Amenities Act) 1978. Untaxed and abandoned vehicles on council estates should be reported to Quality Assurance Officers based at local area housing offices.
