Grassed Areas and Shrubs

Description and aims of task
This duty is completed in conjunction with the Grounds Maintenance Contractor.

These areas should be kept free of litter and refuse

Any bulk refuse left in these areas should be removed, or if necessary made safe and arrangements made for collection by the Caretaker.

The Grounds Maintenance Contractor will keep the shrubbed areas free of litter.  The Caretaker will keep the lawn areas free of litter, clearing the area up to 3 times a week.

The Grounds Maintenance Contractor will clear the lawn of litter before cutting the grass.

There should be no hazardous items present, e.g. broken glass or needles

Twice a year, with the aid of mechanisation, the Grounds Maintenance Contractor will remove fallen leaves from lawn areas.
