"Gas Safe" Registered Contractors/Useful Information
Please note that from the 1st April 2009 all works undertaken to gas services are to be carried out by "Gas Safe" Registered engineers. The associated link to the web page is as below.
All previously registered “Corgi” gas engineers would have registered as “Gas Safe”. Corgi as an organisation still exist but membership is no longer mandatory, as the “Gas Safe Register” has superseded Corgi.
You must only use "Gas Safe" registered contractors
- A "Gas Safe" registered installer with the required competence to do the particular work must always be used.
- By law anyone who carries out work on a gas appliance/fitting must be "Gas Safe" registered and competent to do it safely.
- DIY gas work could be dangerous and is likely to be illegal.
