HFI Sub-Board Meetings 2008

As well as a main board of directors, Homes for Islington has two sub-boards: the Managed Property Sub-Board and the Contracted Services Sub-Board. Membership on sub-boards is made up of directors from the main board and nominees from your local consultative panels.

The role of sub-boards
The role of Sub-Boards is to oversee the delivery and monitor performance of housing management services provided directly by Homes for Islington or TMOs/TMCs, Private Finance Initiatives or other providers.

The sub-boards:

Validate the annual capital programme recommended by the Investment and Delivery Committee against core criteria and recommend a programme to Board;
Monitor the performance and management of responsive repairs;
Monitor that the petitions received at local panels are being properly addressed and to arbitrate on those petitions where residents have received what they consider to be an unsatisfactory conclusion to the matter;
Receive summaries of views on items considered at local panels for consultation and use the comments to inform other actions accordingly.

Managed Property Sub-Board
The Managed Property Sub-Board manages the performance of the Holland Walk, Isledon Road, Boleyn Road, Upper Street, Central Street and Lyon Street area housing offices (six main board directors and six other resident representatives including a nominee from Islington Leaseholder Forum).
