A monster day out

Homes for Islington residents had a monster day out at their fun day on the Kings Square estate. Nearly 300 residents and the mayor turned out to join in the fun put on by staff from Homes for Islington’s Old Street office. A barbeque with food provided by the construction firm Mulalleys gave the crowds energy to take part in an Arsenal Positive Futures kickabout area, gladiator fighting sticks and a couple of obligatory bouncy castles. For those wanting a more sedate experience, there were stands to watch wool being spun or to make clay bowls and facepainting. The event concluded with a raffle full of impressive prizes donated by Kier, Arsenal and local establishments – Fish Central and trendy Look Mum No Hands!
