New Council Housing for Islington

Boleyn Road

HFI is currently building 10 new homes on this site formerly occupied by the old Boleyn Road area housing office. This is the second site to be developed.

The development will provide:

• One four-storey block with 4x two-bed flats and 2x four-bed maisonettes
• Four three-storey four-bed houses

As the Boleyn Road area housing office no longer served the local residents it was demolished in early 2008 to make way for the new development.

Planning permission was agreed in January 2008 once all consultation had been carried out with the residents in the local area.

Mansell have been nominated as the chosen constructor for this scheme and have been working closely with HFI to build up the scheme before the agreed start on site date of 4th August 2008. Work is likely to take approximately 50 weeks with the new properties available to rent by summer 2009.
