HFI has successfully completed construction of 10 new homes on this site which was formerly occupied by the old Boleyn Road area housing office.
The development has provided:
• One four-storey block with 4x two-bed flats and 2x four-bed maisonettes
• 4x three-storey four-bed houses
Planning permission was agreed in January 2008 once all consultation had been carried out with the residents in the local area and Mansell Construction Services, the nominated contractor, began construction on the 4th August 2008.
The completed homes have incorporated the use of solar power, rainwater harvesting, ground-source and air-source heat pumps and green roofs in order to meet code 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. As part of the planning application HFI committed to ensuring that at least 20% of energy consumed in the homes came from renewable sources.
The development was completed in October 2010.
