New Council Housing for Islington

Bennett Court N7, Site 11

HFI have procured an external architect, Burrell Foley Fischer to carry out the design work for the provision of 4 x two bedroom flats on part of the existing fenced amenity space to Bennett Court.

The development is to be finished in brickwork and render with a planted reed bed to the front to improve the street environment.

HFI submitted the planning application in October 2009 after carrying out consultation with the residents in the local area and the application is expected to go to committee in December 2009.

HFI are currently in the process of procuring a constructor for the development who will work closely with HFI to build up the scheme before the proposed start date, which is yet to be agreed.

The application is for car-free development.
