New Council Housing

New Council Housing for Islington

143 Seven Sisters Road

A development of houses and flats is proposed for the vacant doctor's surgery and flat at the corner of Seven Sisters Road and Durham Road.

The development will comprise of a block of 4 flats and 2 five bedroom houses and gardens. The development is to be finished in brickwork and render with areas of light panel cladding. A wider pavement is proposed around the existing London Plane and Box Elder trees to improve visibility for pedestrians on this busy corner.

HFI submitted the planning application in October 2009 after carrying out consultation with the residents in the local area and the application was awarded planning permission in December 2009.

HFI are currently in the process of procuring a constructor for the development who will work closely with HFI to build up the scheme before the proposed start date, which is yet to be agreed.

The application is for car-free development.
