Homes for Islington's New Build & Regeneration Team, on behalf of Islington council, is identifying and delivering regeneration initiatives to improve large areas of Islington.

The proposals aim to create safe, well designed and easy to manage environments which enable communities to thrive.

Some development initiatives will involve environmental improvements such as providing a better estate layout. Other initiatives will look at reconfiguring blocks and improving the security and the approach to a particular building, and creating clear sight lines through an estate. New housing is sometimes included within developments, not only to increase the supply of affordable housing, but also to tackle some of the areas which currently suffer from anti-social behaviour.
