How to get a copy of your lease

Homes for Islington will now provide you with a copy of your lease as part of our standard sell-on pack. The cost of a sell-on pack for leaseholders is £150. The sell-on pack contains information a potential purchaser of your property will want to know. For leasehold properties a copy of the lease is needed for Home Information Packs. Properties marketed for sale from 14 December 2007 in England and Wales will need a Home Information Pack.

If you want a copy of your lease but do not need a sell-on pack we can provide you with this. There is a charge of £10 to cover administrative costs.

This service is also available for freeholders that want a copy of their transfer document, and the charge is also £10. A copy of the transfer document will not be included as standard for freehold properties.

Cheques for a copy of your lease are to be made payable to “HFI”.         All other cheques are to be made payable to “LBI”.  All cheques for information provided by Home Ownership are to be sent to Highbury House, 5 Highbury Crescent, London, N5 1RN.
