Anti-social Behaviour

Successful Actions 2010/11

We are committed to ensuring all of our residents enjoy their right to peace, quiet and security in their homes and within the community.

Anti-social behaviour is an issue which we are focused on addressing through the use of powers available to us.

So far this year we have responded to a total of 896 reports of anti-social behaviour. This figure is comparable to the corresponding time last year and demonstrates that there is a continued confidence in us to deal effectively with anti-social behaviour.

As an ever developing organisation we continue to look to apply both existing and new tools to manage ASB. This year we have provided intensive support to over 24 families as part of the family intervention project as well as signing up 32 young people to acceptable behaviour contracts.

As an organisation we look to work in partnership to make sure appropriate and effective action is taken, to this end we have worked with the Police and Islington Council in the provision of 5 dispersal orders, 1 premises closure order and 1 drugs closure order.

As for legal action we have successfully obtained 50 court orders varying from possession notice to eviction.
