Injunction for threatening behaviour

Ms Warda Ali, an HFI resident from Warltersville Mansions on the Hillrise Estate has been served with a 12 month injunction with powers of arrest. Ms Ali has been banned from the estate and is prohibited from visiting the estate after threatening residents and HFI staff with a knife.

An Injunction with powers of arrest was granted on 6 January 2012, following a successful court application at Clerkenwell & Shoreditch County Court. The injunction, which lasts until 6 January 2013 forbids Ms Ali from engaging in conduct causing or capable of causing nuisance, annoyance, harassment, alarm, distress, fear or intimidation to any persons in the locality of Hillrise Mansions Estate, N19. Such conduct includes verbal abuse, shouting, swearing, screaming, aggressive gestures, threatening behaviour with a knife and/or other weapon and intimidation.

A Possession Order for eviction was obtained on 11 January 2012. A date for eviction is yet to be confirmed.

Ms Ali was fined and ordered to pay Homes for Islington £400.
