Reassuring presence on HFI Estates

As part of Homes for Islington’s (HFI) continued commitment to seek resident’s views on service improvements, a tenants’ and residents’ survey was conducted in July and August 2005, to assess satisfaction with anti-social behaviour (ASB) services. In response to the tenants’ and residents’ concerns expressed HFI introduced an Out of hours ASB response team.

Friday and Saturday 5pm -1am

The response team consists of 8 officers, 2 team leaders and a team manager. The officers began patrolling HFI estates on Monday 15th May 2006. The team are providing a reassuring presence to residents of Islington.

The officers are a well trained team tasked with patrolling the estates, supporting residents to help prevent crime and deter anti-social behaviour.

Working closely with the community and in partnership with HFI services, Police, Islington Council, Young People's Services and other local agencies to help resolve problems and acting as professional witnesses, working towards making HFI estates a safer place for all.

The officers are here to provide a highly visible and reassuring presence. If you see the officers on patrol you can approach and ask for help.

Residents should continue to report issues of anti-social behaviour through the ASB hot line shown. All calls are confidential, if you want someone to return your call please leave your number.
