Homes for Islington are committed to working in partnership to ensure delivery and provision of first class services that meet the needs of our community.
We are a member of the Islington Safer Partnership and support the strategic aims and targets of the Borough.
Community Engagement
A key strand of our community engagement is the provision of activities that capture the interest and imagination of our younger residents. We have developed a strong working relationship with organisations such as Arsenal Football Club, Access to Sports and All Change, with the aim of providing regular sessions of both a sporting and arts related nature across our estates.
Our work in this field has been recognised nationally by the National Federation of ALMOS, where in 2006/7 we won a Community initiative award.
For more information on our work with young people including a programme of activities for 2011 with the organisations listed above see our Young and Active section.
Supporting victims and witnesses
We encourage all residents who may be the victim of, or witness to anti-social behaviour to come forward and report the incidents to us. To support these reporters as we investigate and progress their case, we provide ongoing support through the Witness Service.
Additional services such as Victim Support are available to help victims of a crime. More information see Safer Islington website.
Support for our residents is not solely limited to victims. Where we have identified families at risk of, or involved in anti-social behaviour and youth related violence we have looked to provide support through the provision of Islington’s Family Intervention Project (FIP)
The FIP will meet with the family and complete an assessment that will look to address the needs of each family member. A family contract is produced with the involvement of all agencies working with the family, with clear objectives that are reviewed until their completion
