Council Directors

The following are the Homes for Islington board directors from the Islington Council.

Jean-Roger Kaseki

Jean-Roger Kaseki

Labour Councillor Jean-Roger Kaseki was elected in 2010 and represents the Tollington Ward. He is from the Democratic Republic of Congo and works as a human rights campaigner. He is a member of Islington Council’s Health and Wellbeing Review Committee, Licensing Committee, Licensing Regulatory Committee, North Area Committee and Vice-Chair of the Licensing Sub-Committee C.

Cllr Richard Greening
Richard was appointed to the HFI Board in May 2004.

Richard has lived in Highbury for over 25 years. He is a Labour councillor representing Highbury West ward and is currently deputy leader of the opposition on Islington Council.

Richard is employed by the Improvement and Development Agency for local government (IDeA), which works with councils throughout England to improve their services to the public. At IDeA he has specialised in working with councils on housing and economic development.


Councillor Barbara Sidnell

Barbara Sidnell

Barbara was appointed to HFI Board in July 2006.

Barbara is a Labour Councillor representing Finsbury Park. Barbara is a Council tenant who has lived in the area all her life and has a long history as a local community activist, being involved with Local Area Forums and Housing Panels.

Cllr Sidnell has worked with the Transport General Workers Union for the last 26 years. She was acting vice-chair of the Council’s Housing Committee and chair of the Women's and Equalities Committee.


Councillor Tracy Ismail

Tracy Ismail

Tracy was appointed to the HFI Board in May 2010.


Tracy has lived in Islington for 13 years with her partner, who is Islington born and bred. She has two daughters aged 10 and 15. Tracy's partner is Turkish Cypriot and most family holidays are spent in Northern Cyprus. She is a member of the Licensing Committee and the Licensing Regulatory Committee.

Tracy was born in Pakistan and also lived in Spain, Holland, Lebanon and South Africa while growing up. She believes this experience made her very well rounded and tolerant of other peoples beliefs and cultures.
