Chief Executive’s Office

The Chief Executive's Office provides secretarial and support services to the Chief Executive and our three Directors. This team covers support for:

Legal Services Team
The Legal Services Team provides specialist, efficient and cost effective in house legal services to HFI and LBI.

In the recent past, legal services were provided to HFI by three separate teams, being the possessions team, situated in the former Central Street Area Housing Office, the Service Charge Recovery Team, in the former Isledon Road Area Housing Office and the Legal Repair Team, situated in Highbury House.

Following a review and reorganisation of the provision of legal services in 2008/10 the three teams were consolidated into one Legal Services Team within the Chief Executives Division.

The team deals with disrepair claims and counterclaims, possession claims, access injunctions, debt recovery, leasehold work, annual and major works service charge recovery and disputes and claims in the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.

The team is managed by Quentin Paterson (Legal Services Team Manager) and they are located in Highbury House, 5 Highbury Crescent, London, N5 1RN.

The team aims to provide excellent service to its customers by the efficient conduct of litigation, both as the claimant’s representatives (e.g. in the case of debt recovery and possession claims) and as the defendant’s representative (e.g. in disrepair claims).

Governance Team
The Governance Team provides executive support to the HFI Board and provides a corporate governance service overseeing the processes, customs, policies and procedures of HFI.
