Press Release

It’s hotting up at the Betty Brunker hall!

June 2009

It was good news for residents at Gambier House as a new heating system was unveiled at the local community centre, the Betty Brunker Hall.

The new heating system is part of HFI’s commitment to improve community centres on Islington’s estates. The work was carried out as a benefit of wider decent homes works on the estate.

This new system will ensure that the hall can be used all year round and provide a great centre for the local residents. The new heating system is designed to be much more energy efficient than the old system, making the hall more environmentally friendly.

Joe Trotter said: “Halls like this are important to the local community and a vital resource to local residents.

“I’m very pleased to be able to come down and see the new heating system which will benefit all the users. The hall is a great centre for the Gambier House residents and I hope they enjoy the benefits of the new heating when the cold weather comes.”
