Volleyball for Women aged 16 and above

There are exciting new opportunities for women aged 16 and above to get involved in Volleyball in Islington. The new weekly Volleyball coaching programme is due to start soon at the Sobell Leisure Centre, delivered in partnership with Homes for Islington.

Michelle Stroud a Homes for Islington resident, who is leading the programme, is looking to encourage new women to join the free of charge sessions.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for women to come along and play and socialise. The sessions are currently for women aged 16 and above but we have plans to develop a regular club session and coaching for young people in the near future”.

Michelle gained her qualification as a Volleyball coach, with the Access to Sports Project as part of the Homes for Islington Kick-Start Scheme and also worked alongside staff from the Access to Sports Project to make the application to PlaySport London.
